The Air Jordan 5 (V) White Metallic was one of the first Air Jordan 5 Retros to receive 23 stitched on the side, which was stitched silver with a black drop shadow. This drew many fans to enjoy the new colorways. They feature an all white leather upper with silver accents and 3M reflective tongue. They released on July 1, 2000 and retailed for $120. Finding a deadstock pair without any yellowing is not the easiest, but expect to pay $300 and up.These are truly one of a kind and adored by Jordan fiends, who would love to have these in their collection. These sneakers have got to be one of my favorite shoes in my collection.
(P.S. the netting is only yellowed out because of age. Keep in mind that these shoes are 10 years old.)
Heat- Comes from the phrase"hot shoe". Commonly used amongst individuals that collect shoes; A rare pair of sneakers.
Grail- Sneaker that one wants the most. Sneaker you would most likely do anything for.
Hypebeast- A person who follows the sneaker trend to be cool or "in style". In my opinion a hypebeast is someone who only collects shoes that everyone likes and not for themselves or for the love of sneakers. They try to fit in but can't. Hypebeast usually lie about their collection and do not actually know a thing about shoes.
Beaters- A pair of sneakers that are beat up, messed up, dirty, etc.; A pair of sneakers that you use for everyday activities, not caring what really happens to them.
OG- a word used to describe the first, or original, release of a sneaker (mainly jordans).
Countdown Package (CDP)- a package which contains two pairs of numbered jordans. These Packages are arranged so that the numbers of the shoes add to the #23 (Michael Jordan's jersey number). For example: Jordan 3s would go with Jordan 20s.
